Academy Children's
Choir: Mondays 3:30-4:30 Ages 7 - 14 years
The child's vocal chords are very fragile at
these young ages and The Music Academy is committed to overseeing the best vocal
experience for this age group to ensure that the student will have good vocal
habits formed early and aid in the development of the voice throughout their
lifetime. Incorrectly singing loud and belting is NOT HEALTHY for the
young singer and could lead to damage in later years.
This class develops confidence and increases the student's skills with fun and
music. The basic skills learned in this choir are breathing techniques,
pitch matching, harmony, rhythm, note reading, and sight-singing along with
vocal health and anatomy. Chorister's Guild materials are used to develop a
wonderful children's choir experience. Enrollment includes a choir
uniform.
